John P. Marren

In Memoriam

It is with great sadness and a profound sense of loss that we share the news of the sudden death of John P. Marren, one of our firm’s founding partners. He died peacefully on January 24, 2025.

A brilliant, respected attorney, John led the firm’s health care department from its inception in 1993. The health care industry recognized John as a national expert in managed care, antitrust, clinical integration, value-based care, population health, and other hospital/physician alignment strategies. For our part, however, we will fondly remember John for his larger-than-life personality, quick wit, generous and loyal friendship, and his utter devotion to his family.

John was the beloved husband of Mary, father of Mary Eileen, Brian (McKayle) and James “J.J.” (Lauren), and the doting grandfather of Max and Harper.
