Mikayla S. Hamilton

Mikayla Hamilton is an Associate at Hogan Marren Babbo & Rose, Ltd.  Ms. Hamilton  focuses her practice on municipal liability, governmental tort liability, and complex commercial litigation. Ms. Hamilton has successfully tried several federal civil jury trials to defense verdict and has obtained dismissals and summary judgment rulings in favor of her clients. Ms. Hamilton has considerable litigation experience, and has been involved in all phases of the litigation process. She is always a zealous advocate for her clients.

Prior to joining Hogan Marren Babbo & Rose, Ltd., Ms. Hamilton was an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago Department of Law where she represented the City of Chicago in municipal violations and litigation involving Section 1983 and Monell claims. She has extensive criminal and civil litigation experience in state, federal, and tribal court. She also has a wide range of experience in cases involving civil rights, breach of fiduciary duties, investigating claims under the Controlled Substance Act and the Mandatory Victim’s Restitution Act, labor and employment law, and education law.

During law school, Ms. Hamilton interned at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Minnesota, externed for a U.S. District Court Judge, and worked at the County Attorney’s Office. In addition, she participated in the Indian Law Criminal Defense Clinic, volunteered for Street Law, and was a member of the William Mitchell Law Review.
